Our Story
Building community since 1991

Cypress Ridge Church
In 1991, twenty families joined together to build a self-supporting daughter church. Meeting at what was the Holiday Inn on US 27, the families worked together under the belief that “God wanted a church here.”

1992
In 1992, we called our first pastor, Don Kraft, to lead us.
God
There is only one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, the same in substance, equal in power and glory.
1993
We became a particular church in the Presbyterian Church in America denomination.

DAILY
1994
We purchased the current property and launched a building campaign.
Even with a congregation of mostly young families, everything was paid off in a few years.
“We needed direction and money so we started a building fund called reflecting God’s glory.”
-Linda Paris, Founding Church Member

1997
In 1997, we began construction of the present facility.
Don Paris, an elder at Cypress Ridge, worked together with an outside architect to design and build the current building. Using slabs, they were able to build quickly and efficiently.
In 1998, we moved into the present facility.

“God’s done a wonderful work.”
-Karen Brown, Founding Church Member
